The reward system is designed to work alongside the behaviour system and will encourage a positive attitude and work ethos within our school.
Rewards range from instant verbal praise within the classroom through a system which will enable a record to be kept on each individual child, chartinbg there progress from year 7 through to year 11.
The rewards system will operate in the following way using a series of rewards offered for a variety of reasons including effort and achievement both in and outside the classroom.

The School has a rewards shop from which students can purchase a variety of items with completed stamp cards. Trips are organised at the end of each term to reward pupils who constantly work and behave well.

The top ten students in each year group are entered into a prize draw each half term. From these will be chosen a student of the year for each year group and will recieve a substansial prize in addition to a special award presented at our annual awards evening.
Pupils who show exceptional effort or achievement will be nominated by their Head of Year to have breakfast with the Headteacher.
Unacceptable pupil behaviour, whether low level or extreme, is very challenging for the staff and pupils who come into contact with it.
Any pupil behaviour which disrupts or impacts on the learning of other pupils and the health, saftey and discipline with the school is unacceptable. This includes low level disruptive behaviour as well as bullying, racial harassment and incidents of verbal or physical abuse
The behaviour system at City of Leeds School will be aimed at challenging unacceptable behaviour and supporting the learning of others
The system will operate in the following way using a series of consequences awarded for unnaceptable behaviour.

The school has a range of options that may be employed at any point from C4 onwards as supportive mechanisms to aid the progress of individuals while minimising disruption to lessons.
